Scuba diving is just one of the things that you can do while in Arenzano.
One of the most visited sites, a mile or so out to sea from town,
is the shipwreck of VLCC MT Haven, sunken on 11th April 1991,
that can presently be explored by getting down to the seafloor where it lies,
262.5 feet (80 meters) underwater.
Because this is a challenging experience, it is only open to experienced scuba divers with International IDEA,
PADI, DIA, SSI and IANTD certifications, a national diploma acknowledged
by the Italian National Olympic Committee, and an international licence.
It is recommended that you take part in IDEA,
PADI, DIA, SSI, and IANTD international courses to achieve a national diploma acknowledged
by the Italian National Olympic Committee and an international licence.
